Farmville Arborist Guide
By Charles Mcmasters
Farmville Arborist Guide An Arborist in Farmville is one who specializes in planting and harvesting trees. Most players don't bother much with trees, except as decoration or design elements. Usually you receive them as gifts or buy them in order to earn a ribbon. However, you can also generate quite a lot of cash and experience by planting *only* trees - this is the end game for the Arborist, and will take you approximately 50 levels to achieve. First stage - amass cash. Being an Arborist is very expensive at first. You will be buying only Lime trees, and they are $750 each. You can fit 16 trees in the space that a normal seed plot takes, so do the math - you need a ton of cash. Start out by planting every possible plot with seed. Its up to you to figure out the best return on your investment - if you are willing to sit around all day farming, plant a quick growing, fast turn around crop. It all drives the time it takes for you to fill your farm to the max with Lime trees. Don't fall for placing non-essential animals, decorations, etc on your farm. Just plow, plant & harvest. Buy a tractor and harvester if you need to, but you'll need to make that up with extra crops. You'll also want to expand your farm as fast as possible. DO NOT SPEND FV CASH. Get FV friends and then use coin to purchase the expansion - you'll use the FV Cash later - its very key to this build, so don't blow it on useless items! Keep farming the max possible number of plots every day until you have amassed 3 - 5 million coin, and are approximately level 40. Now you may start deleting plots and planting Lime trees as dense as possible. You'll run out of coin before you fill up your farm, but 3 million coin will get you 4,000 trees. By purchasing and placing that many trees, you will also have earned 2800 experience. You can keep farming half your farm with seeds, and supplementing trees to your forest as you have the cash (don't run out or you'll have to let a crop go to waste!) Pretty soon, you will reach the maximum number of objects Farmville will allow, at which point, you delete all remaining plots and items, purchase as many trees as allowed, and your basically done. NOW WHAT? Every five days you can harvest your trees. At first, I had to manually harvest them one by one. Its not as hard as you might think - FV has implemented a targeting system that lets you repeatedly click in the same place, and a new tree will be selected automatically. After doing about 10 trees, you have to move the cursor a little and repeat. If you have been saving your FV Cash all this time, you will have some to spare. Under the Trees section of the FV Market, you'll see the Arborists option. MAKE SURE YOUR ENTIRE FOREST IS READY TO HARVEST. Spend 5 FV Cash and your whole forest will be harvested, cash in the bank. This is where the power of the Arborist build kicks in. Every five days all you need do is spend 2 minutes and 5 FV Cash to put about 500k in your bank. What about experience & leveling??? The fastest way to higher levels in Farmville has always been to simply buy them. Purchase a mansion and you get 10k experience. You'll have room to place several as you accumulate wealth and experience surprisingly fast for such little effort. Each new level brings an FV Dollar, so you'll get quite a few harvests before you run out of FV Cash and have to consider manual harvesting or spending a few real dollars to buy another 55 FV Cash. With the riches you accumulate you buy high level items and gift them to your friends, or just fill your farm with the rarest high level items in the game - much more fun than plowing, planting and harvesting from dawn to dusk! |
